Monique - Lead Designer
Our lead designer Monique has a Bachelor of Interior Design from Sheridan College, which has provided her with a strong foundation for understanding how spaces should flow and function.
One of her specialties would be working with small, awkward spaces and making them functional and comfortable. Monique’s previous experience in the commercial industry as a project manager has given her the knowledge and organizational skills need to work with sub-contractors/suppliers.
But most importantly, she has gained the skills needed to ensure the designs on paper are brought to life throughout the construction process.

Andrew - Lead Construction
Andrew, our lead Construction manager first began with a passion in framing custom homes.
Framing not only taught him the fundamentals of construction but more specifically, the fundamentals of the structural components. Being in this industry allowed him to find his love for architecture and design.
Andrew studied architectural technology at Sheridan College, which lead him to the commercial construction industry.
He soon became the lead estimator and project manager for a commercial construction company.
Monique & Andrew Guthrie are a young dynamic couple that both have a love for residential design and construction. Prior to opening Park Road Design & Build they both worked in the commercial industry managing high-end retail projects! While they miss the fast past environment of the commercial world, their true passion is working with homeowners throughout the design & build process of a renovation or new custom build.
In 2020 we had been given the opportunity to build a home for a client on the Bay of Quinte. At the time we were living in Mississauga – so the project wasn’t around the corner, but we said why not! Once the project started, we began to fall in love with the Northumberland area, and thought it would be a great place to start our new adventure. We are now living in the heart of Brighton, and have two new additions to our family! We have felt so welcomed by our neighbours and local companies in the town and are enjoying the beautiful town of Brighton Ontario!
